Dembi Dollo Hospital Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization dedicated to actively promoting the recovery of unused medical supplies for the purpose of Global aid, waste reduction, and effective healthcare facilities. We promote the nation-wide practice of recovery of unused and unexpired medical supplies.
Our ultimate mission is to provide international medical relief while reducing solid medical waste from hospitals in developed countries. Due to legal concerns certain medical supplies and equipment are unusable in the developed countries like the USA and Canada but they can be the foundation of life saving health services throughout the developing world.
We seek to serve as a bridge to improve global healthcare by providing medical supplies to underserved areas of the world. More than $200,000,000 of medical supplies are discarded by hospitals in the United States each year and most of these medical supplies are unavailable at any price in much of the developing world. Our only aim is to act as a link between these two opposing situations so that millions of medically unserved people can be served.
