Recycling wheelchairs or donating old wheelchairs that are of no use to you or your family is one of the noblest acts you can do this festive season.
Various wheelchair recycling programs conducted by different non-profit organizations and charities help to raise awareness of the problem of immobility and also bring hope, freedom, and mobility to millions of people in need.
There are different organizations that are engaged in the wheelchair recycling program and they provide an opportunity to individuals, corporations, organizations, and others to donate an old wheelchair so that it can be used to help someone in need.
The basic aim of these kinds of organizations is to create awareness about the needs and abilities of the people with disability and to promote the joy of giving, create a global sense of friendship and to deliver and donate wheelchairs to veterans, child, and every adult, teens and children in need of a wheelchair or other similar medical equipment.
According to a report, it is estimated that there are at least 100 million children, teens, and adults worldwide who need a wheelchair but can’t afford one. Some international bodies and organizations also believe that this number could be as high as 6% of the population of developing countries, especially in African nations.
There are hundreds of ways by which you can support this noble cause like:
Give donations to help organizations deliver and recycle medical equipment.
Get the word out and talk about this noble cause
Have a fund-raiser for the recycling program
Corporate sponsorship- if you are a corporate and you want to help for the cause.
So this festive and giving season be a hero and help millions of people by giving them a gift of mobility by joining a wheelchair recycler program or just by donating for this amazing cause.
So let’s “enjoy the joy of giving” since giving is the master key to happiness and success.
